My theory is that Edwin was less concerned with people thinking he was crazy and more interested in keeping the idea a secret so he could get it patented which he did in 1830 in England. He also invented the adjustable spanner (adjustable wrench). I think if we could travel back to Edwin’s day we would be amazed at how unkempt and dirty things were compared to today and the population of those days would think it was just normal to be that way. In those days they took baths rather than showers and would have to heat the water themselves therefore making it a pain in the butt to take more than one bath a week and I doubt that most people did even that. Also, there probably weren’t commercial mouth washes or deodorants and as far as lawns were concerned the average piece of property probably looked like a mess compared to today considering that they cut the weeds with a scythe. The inside of even the cleanest homes were probably also far dirtier and unsanitary as compared to today. Back then they didn’t have wall-to-wall carpeting for a very good reason – you couldn’t hang something that big on a clothesline and beat the dirt out of it and anyone who has ever shampooed a carpet knows that it is almost impossible to get carpeting clean today even with the latest power washing appliances.

Garlic may reduce tooth pain, but that doesn’t help halitosis (unless you want vampires coming after you).

I never thought about the lines on the inside of my wrist until now. Which makes me wonder now. What are the lines on the inside of my elbow called?

So if you eat garlic, you can mow knowing there won’t be any vampire interference.
