Abby is a blond again. Abby is proactive, Len is reactive. Abby is right.

Sitting there with nothing to do for two hours, he says, but leaving at 1 pm for a 4 pm recital…I’m guessing it more typically takes about two hours to go from their home to the place for the recital then.

I’m in the middle on this, as it’s pointless to arrive too early that you’re sitting around with nothing to do for potentially hours at a time once there…but then there’s also giving yourself enough wiggle room to account for delays such as this.

I always leave for somewhere ridiculously early. I absolutely hate to be late.

Well for any concerts I did, I was expected to be there 2-4 hours before concert time. My family brought books and crossword puzzles to keep themselves entertained.

I’m with Len on this one. When I go to see movies in theaters (COVID correction: when I used to go see movies in theaters), I’d shoot for being there on time. Because if I showed up early, I would be subjected to at least a half-hour of commercials. Eventually it reached a point where even showing up on time wasn’t enough, because they’d run the commercials and trailers right past the official start time and into time which i’d basically already paid for. The way I see it, if I’m forking over my money for your product, don’t also make me pay again with my time.
