The plastic bag bans are just ‘feel good’ placebos. You want to get serious ban all plastic bottles, make the manufacturers use recyclable glass and Aluminum.

When that happens you put the stuff in the cart and wheel it out to the car. I’ve done it a few times. I do keep the shopping bags in the trunk though.
