When I was in junior high we lived in a house with a long narrow back yard without a fence. The poles for the clothesline were set in concrete so my mom got some metal core clothesline and attached a dog chain to it. There were rabbits all over the neighborhood. They quickly learned how long the dog’s lead was and sat just out of his reach.
