Had almost the last of the beets from the garden, just boiled in water w/o any sugar, salt, etc just last night. They were so sweet they were almost illegal!
As a parent, my response would be “I applaud your eco-enthusiasm. Let’s see how authentic it is. I will buy, prepare, and provide lunch that I have the time and budget for. If you want locally grown organic, buy it yourself and pack your own lunch.”
