Eileen’s statement reminds me of a Mark Twain quote: “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. ’tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.”
That’s one of the most mature statements I’ve ever heard about a relationship.
Most of my relationship wisdom just goes back to what I’ve started calling the John Green rule: USE YOUR WORDS.
