Only once was at a party at a house without parents while I was under 21 – and it was a dinner party I gave while in college. I okayed it with my parents in advance. There was no drinking (VERY little of same with the crowds I was with in high school or college or since). Everyone except my now husband’s then girlfriend, came dressed up (she wore a tuxedo tee shirt – hence why he is now my husband of 40 years and not her husband). Nothing untoward happened between anyone or to the house or mom’s china.
