Never played dodgeball as a kid. Whenever a game started, I declared myself a referee and enjoyed the game that way.

We had another game that was very similar, called Bombardment. Don’t remember how it was different from dodge ball. Thoroughly disliked both.

You don’t want to know the things we played in PE when I was young nor what our asphalt jungle playground looked like and the damage done by the deadly contraptions it harbored: Monkey Bars, Jungle Gym, Merry-Go-Round, Swings, etc.

So much of the stuff we did years ago in gym class one of which was Dodgeball is not allowed anymore.
