Kicking the vending machines doesn’t do much except relieve frustration at having lost $1.50. A much better way is to gently rock the machine back and forth until it falls on you. That way you leave plenty of food for those who have to come along and remove the body.
If you make sure you have one indispensable skill, or one bit of crucial knowledge you have a job for life. I know where the bodies are buried so they can’t get rid of me no matter how badly I screw up.
