There used to be an old saying in sports -“If you are not cheating, you are not trying” Sign stealing has been part of baseball since Abner Doubleday. The Astros violation was apparently using “technology” to steal signs.
The rules and/or laws of a sport are designed to provide a common field of play for the players. Players will take as much advantage of situations they can within their human capability. The Astro’s sin was using technology much as the Red Sox one a few years ago involving Apple watches. Are there more out there that use or have used technology to capture signs, sports in general need to decide what to do. If you permit it, work with it. If not, punish at the standard which I believe has not happened in MLBs case (the standard for cheating was set in 1919/1920).
The delay with the Sox, must have something to do with placating MLB TV. I mean they are on there 11 times a week along with the Yankees. So I’m thinking there is gonna be a workaround with guts of steel Manfred.
According to SABR (Society for American Baseball Research), Charles Comiskey had a higher payroll than most team owners did. Check out “Eight Myths Out” for other interesting facts that have surfaced in more recent years.

They’re the ones who got caught. More to come, starting, but not ending, with the Red Sox.

This is the game with spitballs and corked bats, remember?

Every team cheats to some extent. Why do you think MLB is sweeping this under the rug so quickly along with a few heads for good measure.

I’m ok with whatever they do if in the end the cheaters are appropriately punished and the Yankees loose.

Wottsa big deal?
We absolutely approve of cheating at the highest levels of our government.
And massive corruption and Treason are absolutely okay.
