I wonder if the Wee Tricksy Beasties bury things in the floor the way Mom’s old boss Sam used to bury food he didn’t like, or his litter box when it got stinky…over at Kitten Academy (live streaming), there’s a calico momcat who always tries to bury her dish in the rug when she’s through eating:
