When baths were “once a month”.. it unlikely they came with faucets and a shower… more like a tub in the kitchen.
Jeff takes his gloves off to take a bath! I had always wondered.
Soap would help, and would keep the water from reflecting the sky.

our bath water when I was little was heated in a tank on the side of the wood stove and we bathed in a tub in the kitchen. We got running water to the house when I was 5.
