Weird. They have strips for January, 1970, and then skip to the second half of February, 2011… starting with strips from ‘98 then jumping in to “synch” with the 1964 strips Comics.com had…. I’m glad PEANUTS is here, but at least at the other site we could access the entire history of the strip.
Peanuts helped me learn to read while I was growing up in the 50’s and I’ve grown up with it right up to the end. It’s definitely in the top 5 of the greatest strips ever made. Welcome to GoComics.
No one else IS allowed to draw or write the strip, simpsonfan2. That was an express wish of Charles M. Schultz himself – that when he retired, that would be the end of the strip, period. As it happened, he died the day before the final first-run strip actually DID run on February 13, 2000.
Rats, they moved my Peanuts strip!
jss49 is right, it is missing a panel (Snoopy jumping off his doghouse).
maxjaja is also right, nowhere does it say 02-23-1964.
Lucky for me I was smarter than gimmickgenius and accessed the entire history while it was available at the other site. It took days but now I know it was worth it.
So glad to see good ol’ Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang here. Can’t read any of the strips without hearing that cool jazzy music from the TV cartoons playing in my head.
I have been reading and enjoying Peanuts my enter lif. I am so glade that now Go comics has them on there site. Thanks guys another legendary great stripe added to my pages!!
I like GoComics.com, but please make the comics larger so they display the incredible craft. I agree that the Sunday strip is smaller when “display larger” is selected; others are pixelated when zoomed.

This makes me want to see their famed Zamboni.

My only complaint: This configuation of the Sunday strip cuts off one panel. I’d rather see GoComics print it in the original three-tier format.

great to see peanuts here. one more complaint is i wish they add the origninal publish date time

Awesome to see the legendary Peanuts on this site!
My Sooky Rottweiler strip is not much but owes a lot to you guys!
It is not possible in this day and age to have a dog character in a comic strip or an animated series without any influence from Snoopy!

Snoopy doesn’t use a Zamboni, Rene Lopez. He just has Woodstock do the resurfacing by dragging a wet teabag around.

now maybe we’ll see WWII ,the fighting cat and Snoopy’s nemesis

Charlie Tuba - I looked at Comics.com and they don’t have a Peanuts strip for today.
Does anyone know what the original date was for today’s strip?
legaleagle48 almost 14 years ago
Comics.com is no longer running Peanuts, davidf42. But this strip is definitely from early 1964.

I have lots of the Peanuts cartoon collection books that were put out, and my grandchildren love to read them when they come over to visit.
Now, I will start buying some Cul de Sac cartoon books as well. Always fun to re-read these cartoons on a dull and dreary day.

Love Peanuts. Interesting that when you click on the comic to magnify it actually gets smaller.

There is something to reproducing these strips in their original configuration. But any Peanuts is good Peanuts.

I love it when people post questions without reading all the other posts, I already said it was 02-23-64.
I’m also shocked so many people are so happy the strip is on this site now in an edited form when on the other site it was in it’s original form.
