poor lonely, nerdy Jon. LIz is a step up if he doesn’t mess it up.

If Jon thinks that was bad, he should try being the school Teddy Bear. All the girls would curl up to me and tell their problems. I would get them over their last boyfriend, then they would go out with someone else.

There had to be a girl with equal interests in one of those clubs Jon was in that he could’ve asked to the Prom.

Maybe that’s why he gets along with Liz so well. If he was in all those clubs, he must be a lot smarter than what we see here on a daily basis.

@JanCinVV Your comment somewhat echoes my reaction. Judging by the inferred intellectual level suggested by his observed tendencies, no one would have expected him ever to have been in thinking man’s clubs.

Hey wait a minute, that’s all smart-guy nerd stuff. I thought Jon was more the cow-tipping sort.

In school, the girls don’t want the nerds, but wait until they’re old enough to want someone to support them.

At least Jon doesn’t get the revenge fantasy lies from the nerd TV/movie images. Execs know who is dateless and renting their movies so they feed dweeb dreams for a buck. “Someday you’ll beat the king of the school. And the prom queen will want you.” Only if He gets paralyzed in a car crash and she gets so drunk she’s blind. Or if you invent Windows. But then the nerd becomes the guy other nerds regard as the king of the school and they dump viruses on his invention.

Jon has at least stumbled onto a woman foolish enough and controlling enough to enjoy him.

Pure class of 73’..Jon.. let’s run his shorts from gym class up the flagpole while he’s naked……and see who salutes…

I can imagine him wearing a suit with sequins all over it. He’d look like an extra from Jem.
