    There is some truth to this. On occasion, sharing something of how you feel is okay, but often it is shared in such a way as to be “homework.” When someone says, “I want you to listen to/watch this” and then waits for your response like a book report, that is not doing anyone a kindness. Now, if they were to say, “I heard this and thought of you and thought you might really enjoy it,” that is a nice gesture.
