Boy, Katy knows a lot of big words for such a young girl.

It was so nice out, I just left it out !

I’m glad she weathered it.

I think the weather just has a warped sense of humor.

If you read Richard’s Poor Almanac, you know Mother Nature is kind of flighty, and with a bit of a temper too.

I’m glad Katy recognizes that the world doesn’t revolve around her.

Trees, apples …

As a fellow hiker/climber/skier etc. once told me, “It’s not that nature is out to get you, it’s just that nature doesn’t give a damn about you”. Nature will do what it will, it’s up to us to get out of the way. (With the way we’re messing up her planet, I wouldn’t blame her if she were out to get us)

That’s a precocious word.

Don’t take it personal, she’s messin’ with all of us.

The last time someone told me not to be hyperbolic was because I had written into a lesson plan about how proper crane and rigging safety could save your life. Considering that a month earlier someone had been killed because a turbine rotor wasn’t properly rigged and dropped on him, I thought his comment was rather stupid.

After a few weeks of cold, sunny weather, we woke up to snow this morning and it is still snowing. Up to 2-3" right now. This just isn’t right! We could really have done without this. Hope Mother Nature is getting a good laugh.

Each of us is the center of OUR world.

Katy isn’t too far off. I’m in central Md. (where piedmont meets coastal plain) and we had flurries in 2018, 2+ inches in 2014, and 4.5 inches in 2013 – all on March 25 (Happy Maryland Day!)
