Actually no, it doesn’t. I can think of at least one popular social media venue which auto corrects your posts, whether you like it or not. It has often changed wording from something other than what I typed (and I’ve made my living as a wordsmith for most of my life). More often that not, it ends up altering the meaning altogether. The Submarine Sandwich he’s married to did a better job here than any “spell check” would have done.
