Schadenfreude: “pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune.”
When you stop and think about it, ALL jokes are about the misfortune or “injury” of someone/something. I put injury in quotes due to the fact that sometimes the something is an inanimate object or even an abstract thing like language (i.e. puns are all about twisting and distorting and “hurting” language.)
