SOMEhow, they manage to get between the basket and the outer part of the dryer. Found a couple in the exhaust. On the washer, they went between the inner basket and outer drum. Found the remains wrapped around the drive shaft , when I took mine apart to repair a bad leak. An ignoble death, at best.
When I was a kid, and needed money, I would look at the change bowl my mom kept above the dryer. Of course, back then, you could get two comics for a quarter
