Maybe I’m just sleep-deprived, but what is tight or loose sleeping?

okay, here’s what it means… many years ago, a bed consisted of a frame with straps or ropes attached to it from side to side. If you liked a soft feel, you loosened the straps so you “slept loose”. If you preferred a firmer feel, you tightened the ropes or straps so you were “sleeping tight”. People thought, also, if you slept “tight” with the ropes tightened, then bedbugs would have a harder time getting into your bed! I know this because I have a furniture store and I’ve always been interested in the history of beds and mattresses!
