In England, during the 1700-1800s, I think, the Gentlemen’s Clubs (not brothels – get your minds out of the gutter) used to have betting books to record bets. Some of them were serious, but some of them were as silly as which rain drop would reach the bottom of the window first – and many pounds would be bet on the outcome.
I read a story that Cornelius Vanderbilt, one of Americas’ first billionaires, once had such raindrop races with an associate on a train. The bets were $1000 per race. When they arrived at their destination, the loser was out $39,000. This was around 1870.

I have played a variation of this game in my car on my lunch break at work on snowy or rainy days
I do not own a device of any kind, and only recently started keeping a book in the car, half an hour at lunch can get boring

Wow! Little Eliza Doolittle there won’t be welcome back to ‘rain drop’ Ascot anytime soon if she keeps that up.

Careful, you’re giving TSN, ESPN and a number of other sports channels something to show other than reruns. This offer not valid in the Mojave Desert

Rainy day strips. Brilliant way of addressing the quarantine situation without addressing the situation. Well done.
