Last page of “The Case of the Missing Piece”. On Monday, we’ll get the title page for “The Case of the Severed Alliance”, which is probably my favorite Bad Machinery case, and the last one we’re going to see here. I don’t know if we’re going to start over again here after “Severed Alliance” is done. John Allison recently said over on his own site that he’ll be restoring the Bad Machinery archives there after the run here is finished.

There was a short Bad Machinery story, “The Big Hiatus”, that wasn’t ever published, so won’t appear here, that fits into the few days’ gap between “Missing Piece” and “Severed Alliance”. I’ll get into it more on Monday, but in it Shelley Winters suggests in-universe that the titular “Missing Piece” was an actual case to solve, describing the summer between “Modern Men” and “Missing Piece” as “between the case of the MOPED INSANITY and the case that didn’t seem to feature a mystery”.

This is a series wrap for Blossom (and her secrets book). She’d appear after this in “Wen-Tack” and the Bobbins storyline “Hard Yards”, which runs parallel to these last several cases, but she’s not in “Severed Alliance”.

Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon has a bit of info on farming in the UK. Prepare to be amazed!

Seems a bit presumptuous on Wickle’s part. How would she like it if Blossom decided something unpleasant was in her best interest and did it?

It really is for the best, though, Blossom. That book of secrets was only going to be nothing but trouble.

An appropriate ending to the story, one filled with nothing but fire after fire.

I love this friendship! Blossom and Shauna are totally different, but they have such a great chemistery. It’s like they complete each other.
