I’m sure Charlie Brown’s teacher was impressed tho when he said “remarkable perceptivity”.

So Charlie Brown was not the only one, who had ever received a “D minus,” the lowest possible passing grade—I mean, even though this was before Peppermint Patty joined Peanuts, the mention of a “D minus” would make anyone think of her, now, what with her “D minus fixation,” OF COURSE!!! Seems Charlie Brown’s teacher must have really had a gift for “remarkable perceptivity,” the way she could tell he had waited until LITERALLY the last minute, to do his book report.

If these strips were ever animated and shown on TV, no doubt you would hear humor music, at the end(in the final panels), just like on Sesame Street, in the show’s early days(Old School SS era, that my generation had watched, of course.) Anyway, I can almost hear it now-no sooner would CB say,“remarkable perceptivity,” then, “Wip,wip, wipwipwipwip. WIP!” or DINDINDINDINDINDIN!!!

I had an English professor who told me once that he could tell which students took the time do write a decent paper, and those who dashed some drivel off the hour before the paper was due. They were graded accordingly.
