The problem with being an investigator in Tackleford is telling apart the highly suspicious weirdness and the normal, everyday, naturally-occurring weirdness.
This is, of course, the first note that Lottie received, back on October 16th. Seems odd that she didn’t recognize her best friend’s handwriting, but maybe it was distorted by using Mildred as a writing-desk.
Hey, you two are the ones that put poor Mildred in as the monkey in the middle of your friendship, trying to respect the wishes of you both even when they very clearly conflicted, so neither of you were exactly leaving her in the best of positions to navigate this. ;)
