Our car has a tricky door lock. If you slam the door too hard the blasted thing locks on you. Annoying as the devil when you get out of the car to check the mailbox – in the rain. With the engine running. And the drive is a tenth of a mile long.
Wish the owner of a 5-Ton stake-bed truck I was loaned had told me about the 3/4 rotation play in the steering wheel. Found out when I got caught in a major crosswind going down a 5% grade hill. Oh yeah, the vacuum hoses leaked a bit and the three speed rear-end was vacuum shift – needed to keep the revs up to down shift. Ended up coasting to the bottom of the hill.
My brother the plugger would NEVER loan out his pickup. I was going to drive it when he was in the hospital and he went over everything in great detail as to why it was a bad idea for me to drive it (there’s no real 1st gear and the 2nd gear gets a little tricky and the brakes, blah blah blah blah blah)

I always include how to turn off the alarm if you turn it on by accident.

And the plugger borrowing the truck expects nothing less.

Don’t forget, “The speedometer runs about 5 miles an hour fast.”

If the muffler comes loose there’s extra wire in the back.

I borrowed a 1962 Ford galaxy once. He said the oil was fine. Next day. Yup.

Pluggers appreciate vehicles with character, since we can be characters ourselves.

You’ll have to double clutch to get into 3rd.
