Actually, I can understand typos in cartoons and other drawn media. I’m a Draftsman, and started out “on the board”, making drawings by hand. Lettering isn’t really writing. You are drawing the letters out, and it’s not difficult to either miss a few. …or add a few. Electronic drafting has changed a lot of things about my job.
