I believe the entire purpose of today’s comic was creating the opportunity to use “endoplasmic reticulum.” Which I applaud. It’s one of the best names in all of science.,

You can laugh, but if something causes a dysfunction of the endoplasmic reticulum, you could be in a world of hurt.

For some reason, the phrase “endoplasmic reticulum” has stuck in my head ever since I learned it in some school science class a million years ago. Made me chuckle.
