Good morning, Birdbrainiacs! I actually walked by a pheasant on a very windy day once and my dog brought him up to me. Glad pheasant gangs weren’t a big thing in those days!
A bird a shot down by a hunter is talking like he a gangster rapper. The bird dog should just squeeze little keep the bird fat beak from flapping so much.
I feel rather silly explaining one of my more stupid cartoons, but here goes…
A rappin’ pheasant gets shot not knowing who shot him; but a Labrador Retriever happens along and grabs him by the neck. The rappin’ pheasant’s first thought is he’s being rousted by the “Man,” law enforcement, and considers being “dog-handled” as police brutality. So, of course, the pheasant threatens the “cop.”
Of course, the pheasant is mistaken and therein lies the unappealing, dull and not-so-funny irony of his unawareness.
Please forgive me for not making it funnier. I must have thinking too seriously when I put it together… seriously, that’s just not funny.
But thank you all for reading this confusingly distasteful cartoon!

A lab only understands “food”, “walk”, and the sweet blast of a 20 guage.

I don’t see any faces either.
But I can see how a farmer feeding 3000+ pheasants might want to thin the flock a bit…

I’m just glad that the pheasant was rappin’ rather than rabid…
Thanks for the explanation–it was similar to what I thought, but cleared up a few points.
