Good thing Dad didn’t ask Lio to put out the dog!

I would love to see how will Lio put out the cat, namely Cybil.

I had to do that as a kid. My mom had a trash pit and we burned the garbage once a week.

I used to find them growing up. The really old ones. spotting ancient bottles, some with the contents inside after 50 years. That was always interesting.

I became an opponent to open burning when I inhaled burning poison ivy. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Well, maybe———-

Reminds me of an old joke about the dyslexic husband being asked to wind the clock and put out the cat before coming to bed. Choose your own punch lines.

Reminds me of a Benny Hill gag, where someone is told to “turn out the soup on the stove.” You can guess what happens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ @aaf709: That’s how his name is spelled; I’m guessing that the makers of this page couldn’t figure out how to make that character.

Lio, meet vaudeville. Vaudville, meet Lio. (I have to admit this did crack me up, though.)

Where are the archeologists a thousand years from now going to look for middens to dig up?

Will they think we burned ourselves out of our homes?

No it would not work in Czech, the words for carrying out and extinguish are not similar at all. Of course, there are puns in Czech and Spanish that do not work in English. An Example of a hilarious Ukrainian pun. What do hicks call a toupee? answer: a Pancake!! see? doesnt work in English.
