One Easter, we lost an Easter egg – the kids couldn’t find it and we forgot where we put it. In August, my wife was putting the ironing board in the broom closet. CRUNCH. Boy, did she find it!

My parents never hid Easter eggs. They always hid my basket - with candy and other goodies, and Mom always hid my Dad’s basket. Dad never fixed a basket for Mom, but he always got her a piece of jewelry, and hid that, so we had an Easter hunt before church. Mom never felt left out in the candy department, though, because Dad and I always shared ours with her.

    Okay, cute egg related story…

A friend’s wife told him that she was working early one day, but she left some eggs in the fridge for him, so he could have egg salad sandwiches…

Oh, that sounded nice, so he goes to the fridge and sees that there are some eggs in a bowl, he grabs an egg and thwacks it against the counter … and kersplat! egg white and yolk everywhere!

He facebooks his wife, saying what the hell? His wife says, you dummy, those eggs were put aside for you TO boil, saying she KNEW he would do something like that…

He replied, well if they were not cooked, why not leave them in the carton… She said, because she set those ones aside for him to boil…

Their facebook friends found the whole situation very amusing.. I think he had a tuna sandwhich instead… ;-)

    Another story,

Years ago when I was in high school we had no hot lunches so we “brown bagged” it. One day I was eating with some school mates and I had two eggs. In fun I cracked one on my head. The kids thought it was funny and asked me to do the other one. I said no the first one gave me a headache. So thwak on the table and guess what…it was raw. My Mother said she thought they were both boiled but I still wonder how she made that mistake. Now when confronted by an unkown boiled egg I spin. Boiled ones spins smoothly and the raw ones wobble:-D

Russian Easter eggs are harder to make, but beautiful.

    Two messy egg stores. (eew)

You spin a raw egg, then stop it and let it go quickly, it will start to spin again all by it’s self.
