Good old Gutenberg. The father of the medium. Pity we didnā€™t understand a word he said.

Seeing old holdovers like ā€œLorem ipsumā€ is so cool, I think. Some random thing that echoes down the years, like Pompeii grafitti, or calling residents of Liverpool ā€œLiverpudliansā€, a relic of an old wheeze: Liver-puddle. It really personalizes the pastā€“ a handprint in the sidewalk of Time.

Jesusā€™ pun in the Bible: ā€œThou art Peter, and on this rockā€¦ā€

pcolli, what do you mean, ā€œThe father of the mediumā€? Nostradamus wasnā€™t born until 45 years after Gutenbergā€™s death, and in a different country to boot. Well, not ā€˜to bootā€™, it was France, not Italy, but ā€˜at thatā€™.

One of the reasons I love Pabā€™s work is that it sets off such a dazzling display among his literati followers.

Very true that many valid points are made here, and I love to follow my own little path.
