What I find interesting is that, not only has it been surprisingly easy to tell people apart with masks on, but it’s easy to tell their expressions as well. I was reading about this phenomenon, and some pundit said something to the effect that the eyes Are the window to the soul, so you can see the real person best by looking into the eyes. And now that we’re forced to go without other facial cues, we see the eyes more intensely.
Well, honesty, accountability, personal responsibility, and openness (apart from expressing disdain for “them”) are certainly not in high esteem in our times.
