Gen X as teens: “Past Me, someday a man named John Hughes will direct a bunch of movies in the Chicago area that are supposed to represent all of the teenage awkwardness you feel. Please stop him.”

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Do not lump me in with those Instagram filtered Gen Z’ers. Yes, I may be technically declared a Gen Z, (from what I’ve seen, Gen Z is classified as either early 2000’s to 2010, or late ‘90s to 2010, and I’m from 2002. It’s confusing.) but I am way more like the first panel than anything.

Don’t judge us and our Brandy Melville spaghetti straps, salted caramel lattes from Starbucks, Lulu lemon leggings, hoops earrings, and absolutely perfect hair.
