You alluded to “the ugly American” as though that is a negative. I humbly request you read the actual book by Lederer. He is the hero and someone we should emulate. From your comments I think you would approve of him and admire him. He just happened to be unattractive.

It requires very little in the way of complex thought process. making it easy to sell in a ten second sound bite and perfect for the Kardashian American. You may, however, be indulging in sarcasm, which is the lowest form of irony and also easy to sell to Kardashian America.

Not certain if you are missing the concept of irony or just basically illiterate. The book by Lederer entitled “the Ugly American” has as its hero a warm, kindhearted, generous, considerate American ambassador of good will. He is beloved by all. Physically he is unattractive hence the title. It was written to be ironic (look up the word).
If you consider those are qualities of a Queeg than you are unfortunately beyond hope.
