I remember channel surfing all 100+ channels 3-4 times before turning the TV off because there was nothing to watch on all those channels. So I cancelled all but basic local channels with Time Warner.
So I just signed up with Direct TV for 150+ channels, and they are coming to hook us up today. WHY?????????????
Because those 150+ channels are cheaper than T-W’s basic local package.
For some strange reason, Comcast has HD versions of almost every channel except BBC America, the one channel I really want to see in HD. I don’t want to torrent or wait for SyFy reruns to see Doctor Who in HD.

He’s better off than the Baldo in the Spanish version of the comic, who only has 159 channels

I actually enjoyed TV more way back when all we had were seven over-the-air channels.

IT’s information overload. Peer pressure forces one to have to try to see the programs in vogue and there is so much.

I remember having only 3 channels and the public broadcast channel. The public broadcast did have anything good on it.

Just give me the Science Channel, Discovery, TLC, History and SyFy and I’m all good!
