Usually that conversation between Agnes and Trout would be the other way around, wouldn’t it?
What ticks me off is that I dream in French and can’t understand my dreams because I don’t speak French.
Don’t worry about it now! If you start dreaming about joining a religious snake-handling cult, it’s time to be concerned!
I have to admit, that was a pretty good troll move by Agnes.
But what other language does Agnes think in—Latin? Xhosa? Klingon?
True fact that.. not having to translate all those good ideas and sharp comebacks to many languages gives a real speed advantage.
Two signs of mastering a language are if you dream or make love in that language. If you can do both then you are truly fluent.
I skip the translation sometimes and just conjure up pictures of donuts and coffee.
