Once I get my dog into the rain, she loves it. She is half lab/half boxer. It’s like watching a kid. She runs around and jumps in mud puddles and has the best time. But try getting her in a bath tub at you own risk.
My “Sailor Boy” says, “Forget that Rain, Dad.”
But … come the Summer, he wants the doggie (kiddie) pool put out so he can splash into and out of the water.
Go figure!

Well then, Rover, you’ll just have to cross your paws until the rain stops!

Sounds like a well thought out plan. :)

I kind of wish they could. It’d be a lot easier on all involved.

Our dogs have a garden umbrella open just outside the patio door. I get wetter holding the door than they do when they go out.

Dogs don’t like to get cold in the winter, but they like to cool down in the summer. Just take a large umbrella to cover both of you.

“Why is it dogs hate the rain, yet they plunge in the swimming pool or other bodies of water?”
Same reason people do!
