    Wottsa big deal?

So a few people die. Okay, a lot of people. 100k so far, 200k in a couple more months.

And sure, some people will suffer damaging effects, long term or permanent. Okay, a lot of people.

    .

But that’s such a small price to pay for rebuilding The Messiah’s economy, the bigliest every known, and reelecting The Messiah in the process.

    .

No one needs to slow down the virus. Everyone needs to go to their local hair stylist, bar, manicurist, and Trump rally.

    For the Economy.

    For The Messiah!

    .

Get out there people! Don’t be cowardly socialists, hiding at home behind those sissy masks.

It’s not like you have bone spurs.

Statewide shutdowns across the country may have prevented millions of coronavirus infections in the USA, according to a study published Monday.

Researchers found the USA may have been able to avoid an additional 4.8 million confirmed coronavirus cases, which translates to about 60 million more infections, as a result of statewide lockdowns and mandated social distancing restrictions, according to the report published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Nature.

Infections were much higher than confirmed cases, they argued, because many people didn’t have access to a coronavirus test or didn’t go to their doctors to obtain one.

The study documented changes in testing procedures and availability, as well as differences in case detection across the country.

Johns Hopkins University reported more than 1.9 million confirmed coronavirus cases and more than 110,000 deaths as of Monday.

The study’s authors used a “reduced-form” technique more commonly used to measure economic growth rates.

They argued that, similar to COVID-19 infections, economic output generally increases exponentially as a result of policies and other conditions.

Dieckhaus expects the USA will be able to decouple economic activity and case transmission as some businesses restructure office settings to promote social distancing, schedule constant disinfecting and require a mask.

A separate study, also published Monday in the journal Nature, found such lockdown methods may have prevented more than 3 million deaths across 11 European countries.

Both studies contribute to the growing evidence that national and regional lockdowns helped prevent coronavirus transmission and infection.

Experts are concerned about a second wave of cases as the USA begins to ease restrictions and reopen the economy.

As the number of new coronavirus cases continues to increase worldwide, and more than a dozen states and Puerto Rico are recording their highest seven-day average of new cases since the pandemic began, hospitalizations in at least nine states have been on the rise since Memorial Day.

In Texas, North and South Carolina, California, Oregon, Arkansas, Mississippi, Utah and Arizona, there are an increasing number of patients under supervised care since the holiday weekend because of covid-19 infections.

The spikes generally began in the past couple weeks and in most states, are trending higher.

There have been more than 7.1 million cases of covid-19 officially reported worldwide, including more than 405,000 fatalities, though the totals are likely higher.

Nearly 2 million cases have been reported in the United States, with more than 109,000 of those fatal.

In what is obviously complete coincidence…

….this rally is on June 19 at Tulsa, OK.

June 19, also known in Texas as Juneteenth….

On June 19, 1865, the Emancipation Proclamation which had been issued on January 1, 1863 in the United States was read to enslaved African Americans in Texas by Gordon Granger.

The Tulsa race massacre of 1921 took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of white residents attacked black residents and businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It has been called “the single worst incident of racial violence in American history.”

The attack, carried out on the ground and from private aircraft, destroyed more than 35 square blocks of the district—at that time the wealthiest black community in the United States, known as "Black Wall Street.

Want tickets to President Donald Trump’s campaign rally next week in Oklahoma? Then you’ve got to agree you won’t sue him if you contract coronavirus.

The sign-up page for free tickets on the Trump campaign website comes with a liability waiver that says the campaign or other parties associated with the event next Friday at the BOK Center in Tulsa cannot be held liable for exposure to coronavirus.

“By clicking register below, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present,” the waiver says.

“By attending the Rally, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.; BOK Center; ASM Global; or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury.”

There are bigger problems in ur nation now than Covid-19. The mortality rate for that is on par with the flu now at less than 1%. The number of cases is uo largely due to i creasd testing and serious of illness is waning substantially. Georgia has paved the way. The herd immu ity continues to onceease and even with occasinal bumps in positive patients, the numbers of hospitalizations and death continues to fal substantially.

The focus Covid now is largely political, to harm Trump. However, it is curious how mass gatherings are allowed for the woke, but not for the workers.

Day 50 of the Georgia Economic Recovery. Used to think San Francisco was the model leftist city, the way it has so many street people, but it looks like Seattle is the new trend-setter. Punishing the poor through intimidation!

Feds arrest Tacoma woman for allegedly burning 5 police vehicles in Seattle protest

The woman was identified from photos and videos by her numerous and distinctive tattoos, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.

The videos came from Seattle police, surveillance cameras, broadcast news video and social media posts.

“This defendant was captured by multiple cameras using an accelerant, lit like a blowtorch, to start fires in five vehicles — putting the public at risk and creating the very real possibility of a structure fire amidst the throng of people protesting downtown,” said U.S. Attorney Brian Moran.

A criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle charges the woman, Margaret Aislinn Channon, with five counts of arson.

As the sun began to rise, volunteers and community members started showing up downtown to clean up broken glass and help secure businesses after the night of destructive protests. Brian O’Kelly said he drove in from Woodinville Sunday morning to help with the cleanup effort.

“We had another guy down here who said he’d been here all night scrapping graffiti off a window. It’s awesome. I was like, ‘is this your business?’ ‘No, I’m just here cause I can,’” said O’Kelly. “There is more of that than the people who were breaking stuff.

You know, if you’re bent on breaking stuff, you can break a lot of stuff in a short amount of time. This doesn’t take a lot of people to do this. It’s going to take a lot of us to clean up the mess, though.”

“I’m totally inspired. It’s totally gratifying and so wonderful and heartening to see all of these people out here. Volunteers helping to clean up the destruction, and the graffiti, and all of the damage from last night,” said Seattle Police Department Chief Best.

The protests started out peaceful at Seattle Police Department headquarters, but things escalated after protesters marched to Westlake Center to hold a rally.

Seattle police said people in the crowd threw fireworks towards people attending the rally and injured citizens and officers.

Seattle police said at least 55 people were arrested. Durkan said she’s been in touch with federal authorities to investigate some of the crimes that have been committed.

A woman attending the peaceful rally told KING 5 she is furious that other people not involved in the peaceful protest became destructive.

“They hijacked our protest… I am furious,” said the woman. “It has totally taken away from what we came down here to do.”

Hey Brain Pudding, your numbers are nonsense. If you take the number of deaths and divide by the number of cases, the death rate is 5.9%. Most experts think this is low because all the cases aren’t being reported. That is hardly “on par” with the flu, since the flu has approximately a .1% fatality rate.

Cases in Georgia are starting to spike again so pull the other one.

I like how you said “ur nation”. Go back home comrade. People can see the Orange Idiot for what he is without your help.

White Democrat Leaders Take Stand Against White Privilege By Resigning From Congress

    June 11th, 2020

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Denouncing the white privilege from which they’ve benefited their entire lives, white Democrat leaders announced today they would be resigning from Congress to allow more diverse voices to be heard.

Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Joe Kennedy III, Eric Swalwell, Richard Blumenthal, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and dozens of others formally turned in their resignations today in order to combat the prevalence of white privilege in our country. Elizabeth Warren will remain so as to give Native Americans a voice.

“We must make space for people of color to be heard,” said Senator Chuck Schumer, who had donned a rasta dreadlock wig and beanie. “And the place where white privilege is most prominent is here in Congress, where old, white people make rules for a bunch of oppressed people. No longer. Effective today, we all resign.”

“I bless the rains down in Africa, and Wakanda forever,” he said, solemnly performing the Wakandan salute.

Joe Biden also declared he would be resigning from Congress but aides quickly reminded him he’s not in Congress and he’s running for the presidency and his name is Joe Biden.

Seattle Protesters Abolish Police, Replace With Squads Of Armed Individuals Tasked With Enforcing Set Of Agreed-Upon Rules

    June 11th, 2020

SEATTLE, WA—Seattle protesters have successfully abolished the police in their “autonomous zone.” In their place, the leaders of the group have installed squads of armed officers who are tasked with enforcing a set of agreed-upon rules.

“We have achieved a police-free utopia,” said one of the group’s leaders, Taz “No Rulez” McGuffin. “Now, we are going to need someone to do the job of enforcing the rules we all decide upon and making sure everybody’s safe. Instead of oppressive police, let’s select a few individuals — we’ll call them ‘officers’ maybe — and give them guns. They can patrol the area and stop anyone who goes against our set of laws — err, guidelines.”

“Having thrown off the shackles of the oppressive police, we now welcome these new guideline enforcement officers.”

Everyone was treated the same in the utopia of equality, at least for a few hours. The leaders decided that they should have some special protections under the new guidelines and perhaps some way to collect mandatory voluntary donations from everybody to fund their efforts. Eventually, the leaders of the autonomous zone went and met with the mayor, who agreed to accept them back into Seattle proper and give the leaders cushy consulting jobs in the government.

“It was weird,” said one Antifa member. “We looked from our Antifa leaders to the government officials, and from the government officials back to the Antifa leaders, and already it was impossible to say which was which.”

(Full title of article: Germany, a Heritage of Evil?)

    Must read for the day!

What we can learn from the Germans and how they faced their own ugly history.

From that article (not specifically said, however) is that Germans took one step that we didn’t: The out-and-out banning of Confederate imagery after the war.

If I recall, too, most of the Confederate monuments didn’t really spring up until after all of the perpetrators were dead.

I understand that, at the time, there may have been some expediency in not having done that. (The famous Lincoln quote: “Let the band play Dixie”) But in the long run, we see where it has gotten us.

It is now, finally, time to do away with the Confederacy, once and for all.

Confederate flags to us ought to be the shame that the Nazi flag is to Germany.
