County fair port a potties are usually used so much that the lock gets worn out, and you can’t see whether of not if it’s in use or not.

I totally agree – the only consolation is that I’m a guy – I can’t imagine how women cope with it.

There’s an annual Renascence festival about 45 minutes from where I grew up. It was originally set up a couple of miles west of the interstate with nothing around it. This meant that they had to use port-a-johns as there were no sewer lines out that far. Then one year their advertising announced that the fair now had indoor plumbing with real bathrooms. Turns out that road is now lined with housing developments all the way from the freeway to the fair and beyond.

Not even a week after my return and a kid starts spamming
