The Elderberries by Corey Pandolph and Phil Frank and Joe Troise for January 28, 2022
Transcript:
Girl: Fostergramps... why are folks your age called "The Greatest Generation"? General: Very good question! It's because we all responded to the threat to democracy of World War II! Not just the soldiers who fought... but all the citizens back home who saved scrap metal, planted victory gardens and bought war bonds to aid the troops! Now I've got a question for you! Girl: Okay. General: How do I get this picture of a 1932 Packard on my computer as a screen saver? Girl: Move over. Foster Grandparents' Week at Elderpark.

I’d rather have the ’36 Duesenburg SJ with the 101" wheelbase.

not sure if this is poking fun at elders who have problems with simple computer functions even though they’re considered the
‘greatest generation’.——meaning, how can they be the greatest if they can’t post a screensaver?

Everybody should have a 1932 Packard as their screen saver!

He asked the right person that question. Any kid under 10, is more computer savvy, than me.

My parents had a 1960 Ambassador Rambler. At that time, only 1 of 4 left running. Miss that car!
