We took our lawn tractor and attached a Radio Flyer wagon to it. Selling lemonade block by block and all was great. Until the local police put an end to that gig. Something to do with a 12 year old driving a motorized vehicle on public roads. Good news, made the small town paper! Branding baby!
Yeah, a kid with a skateboard looks like someone with $100 on him in 1969. Unless you have some trade secrets and trademarks, you won’t have much to sell that can’t be copied for free.
(Now I feel like even more of a rebel for sneaking a peek at the McDonald’s operations manual when I worked there. One thing I remember is that they give advice for how to crush nascent attempts of workers wanting to unionize.)
