We had a girl (my age) at our tennis club who was Middle Atlantic champion. If I had been a backboard, I could have returned her serves better. Every so often I could catch up with one.
Took tennis lessons once upon a time. Us students played each other and spent most of our time swinging and missing then running after the ones that got away. Good exercise, but never improved my tennis game.
