Ah, that was President Obama’s crime, then.

Unemployment was at 4.7% when he left office.

Let’s see … last week under The Great Prevaricator’s marvelous guidance, over 1 million people applied for unemployment bringing the reported unemployment down to a wonderful 10.2%! Way to go, Donny.

What? It’s not your fault? … It’s the Democrats and Obama’s? … They caused the pandemic just to make you look bad?

Wonder how that’s playin’ in Kenosha?

So, while reading this one I was reminded about the question of Mrs. Brady. What exactly did she do?

This shows the inherent perversion of the American system. Unemployment must be at a certain level to ward off inflation and what does warding off inflation accomplish? I’ll oversimplify, it preserves the assets of the rich keeping their investments from decreasing in value. And, both branches of the Money Party see this as normal. Marvin The Martian says it best.

I don’t want to be on the wrong side, but do unemployed people sit around in bedclothes all day watching television? He could at least read the internet funnies.

I often like this comic, but this one demonstrates a total absence of understanding of what “the Fed” really does. And of economics, really. There is no such thing as 0% unemployment. There are ALWAYS people out of work for one reason or another, and it has nothing to do with either fiscal or monetary policy.
