Wait, this comic is set in a time when that penny was actually worth real money. (Reminiscing the penny candy counter at Lock’s drugstore)

Red found a “lucky” penny but by picking it up he also got bad luck , breaking his mother’s back so he had to throw away the “bad luck” penny.

Good idea, Red…thanks for letting him know, Rover…get rid of that penny…love and hugs, dear boys

So much for finding 1 cent! There isn’t a “cent” sign any more….stupid!

Get used to paying for healthcare, Red.

when I walked with my daughter she didn’t want to “break my back” so we made a new story. If she stepped on a crack the ground would open up and she would have to live Alabosee, the land underneath and have tea with the king of the worms.

Throw away a penny, crush your Uncle Lenny…
