After a lifetime of hearing this denigration of “chopped liver” I read on a gourmet website an unrestrained praise of it.

The next day I went to a fine delicatessen and tasted it for the first time.

I only want to say… forget any pre-judgement! Food of the gods! Not unlike foie gras, but gooseless!

Home-made chopped liver is best…

This must be the Seniors Special Buffet in the Catskills.

My first thought, it’s all good, with the right condiments. My second, does cat food need a sneeze guard?

I have had liver salad in Germany. It’s made with a sliced, preserved meat (think bologna) but with liver, and cucumbers, lettuce, etc. It was good. Like a wurst salad.

Offended at not being labeled? Or identity crisis?
