Once in French Polynesia I saw a billboard ad supporting animal welfare which showed a small dog barking, and the caption was (something like) Oeuffe! Oeuffe!

The actual spelling may have been different, but was meant to be phonetic for “woof” in French, I think.

I’m not sure I like the sound of that, but I may be barking up the wrong (family) tree!

Shouldn’t the owner of a French poodle dress to suit.. at least a frilly shirt, perhaps plaid trousers.

When does he need to go oui-oui?

And it’s driving me to the poor house feeding it escargot.

Some years ago, a house was being built on a lot next door. The outhouse was in back and the company name was “Le Poop.” Still cracks me up!
