Reminds me of school. Tight means taut, and around here we have been taut a lot!

A Ship of Fools, defined as “a vessel populated by human inhabitants who are deranged, frivolous, or oblivious, passengers aboard a ship without a pilot, and seemingly ignorant of their own direction”.

    Sounds like Congress to me.

Rome Italy has had a subway, or Metro as most Europeans call it (with the exception of Londoners, who call theirs “The Tubes”) since 1955. I know it exists because I have been on it (in May, 1985). It’s difficult to expand the Metro in Rome because every time a spade full of dirt is dug up a priceless artifact is discovered and the archeologists descend upon the spot..

Why complain about politicians drinking excessively? When they drink, they get drunk. When they get drunk, they go to sleep. When they sleep, they pass no laws and raise no taxes. Maybe we need more Batson D. Belfrys, not fewer…
