Obvious to us, but supervillains for some reason have a blind spot when it comes to spotting heroes behind glasses.

Wouldn’t his secret identity wear glasses?

Some years back, the DC universe published a graphic novel (“Identity Crisis,” I think) which explained why superheroes needed secret identities (spoiler warning: it was to assure the safety of innocent people like their friends, relatives and spouses). Now we see the same argument works to explain why superheroes shouldn’t have secret identities!

A blind spot they share with the hero’s love interest, Flyboy.

In his secret identity, Dynaman DOES wear glasses. Even with the rest of his costume on, it’s enough to fool Captain Victorious.

(There was a strip to this effect a month or so back, but I’m too lazy to find the link.)

I thought villains were supposed to be rather indiscriminate about the people they damaged!
