Rick just came to meet her, but his meter didn’t quite scan. His lines stumbled, the verse crumbled, and he became a failed meter-man!

Rick, sick, not likely
Car at bar, big giveaway
Gone, no green pasture.
Your work is all moving away,
to countries with much lower pay,
The good news desired,
moving won’t be required,
Because you’re all fired today.
Call Me Ishmael is clever at rhyme/his limericks are better than mine/I hope that this jester/ will take on Mike Lester/with poems absurd and sublime.

A number of tweess taking issue w/ the last rhyme. I’ve always pronounced “limerick” w two syllables but many use three. They are wrong and savages and I am right. ; > )
