Usually the method here is to swing vigorously until the rope snaps and you fly to safety. Honestly, it sounds a surer bet than Rip’s idea.

Deus ex Machina … which is clearly already at play since those gators can jump 15 feet I’d they want. And they look pretty hungry.

Actually, those gators are Rip’s pals, too. They just fooled the Skull goons, which, to be honest, is a pretty low bar.

Breezy. You’ve been involved with Rip for how long? ANd, how many times has he somehow pulled of the improbable impossible? Hey, he even managed to Marry you, and, the two of you produced baby Fireball. Those are two things a lot of people would consider improbable, maybe even impossible.

Rip’s plan could work. After all, anything is possible in a comic strip!

Oh Rip, those who think too highly of themselves are headed for a fall. Hitler and Lucifer are good examples to name a few.

I guess we can’t blame Breezy for being a bit concerned. After all, Rip is a Haywire by blood, so this is natural for him.

Breezy, however, is a Haywire by marriage, which gives her a slight disadvantage. But the fact that Rip loves her and would do anything for her makes up for it.
